I just watched True Confessions on the Tonights Show with Zach Galifianakis and Bill Maher.
I would normally not be this amazed, but i have been writting a summary of the book Persuasion IQ (that deals with persuading) and stumbling upon the following video of Zach and Bill was the cream of the crop:
What is the key takeaway?
If you want to convince someone that something that actually happened, did not happen – act as if you are making up the exact story right at that moment. Make them see that you are making it up (at least 60% of the time).
So the question arises:
Now that I know this devious technique, where can I use it?
Zach, the wolfpack of hungry master persuaders says thank you.
P.S. I thought that Bill was lying about his story (sounded too rehearsed) but it seems he is an honest man.
